Our client is a successful investment management firm providing capital to middle market companies across North America.
Looking to add a new Corporate Accountant to support the growth of the organization through accounting, financial reporting and compliance reporting in addition to supporting internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include
- Accounting: general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of accruals and balances
- Cash Management: assist with payment and collection of invoices, cash flow analysis, bank deposits, wires and reconciliations
- Financial Reporting: financial statements, working papers, HST/GST returns, assist with budgets and variance analysis
- Operations: maintenance of vendor records, invoices and expense allocations, process intercompany reimbursements, process improvement initiatives and more..
- Accounting Degree required, CPA designation required or near completion.
- 5+ years of experience in a corporate accounting role
- Strong technology skills including ERP and advanced Excel
- Knowledge of Canadian GAAP, IFRS and reporting requirements is required
- Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
