My client, a logistics company specializing in air freight and cargo services, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Operation Associate to join their team.  The Operations Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their logistics processes. Your primary responsibility will be to support their operations, ensuring shipments are handled accurately and delivered on time.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process, including tracking, documentation, and booking.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including the operation team, customers, carriers, and customs offices, to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Review shipping documents, such as bills of lading and commercial invoices, to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and track shipments using our internal systems and external platforms, providing regular updates to customers, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the resolution of any operational problems or delays, working closely with the operations team to find creative solutions and minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all shipments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 
Qualifications:
  • A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a similar industry is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and team members.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all documentation and information is handled correctly. 
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think creatively and find solutions to operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to adapt to changing requirements and situations.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction and coverage of jobs, work hours must be flexible.
