Our client is a leading consulting engineering firm known for its excellence in project delivery across Texas. This firm focuses specifically on Commercial | Mixed Use | Single Family Residential | Multi Family Residential | Industrial projects. They are looking for a capable individual to work in a Senior Electrical role overseeing the electrical engineering services in Dallas, Texas.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Electrical/Team Lead Engineering role demands strong analytical thinking to assess complex technical data and support decision-making on engineering challenges. Key skills include attention to detail in designing and implementing electrical systems, along with effective problem-solving to address design issues. The role requires client-focused service to deliver tailored solutions, teamwork to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and results management to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Strong information gathering and decision-making are essential, while maintaining resilience and adaptability in the face of technical or project-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities include:

Project Management & Oversight: Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely completion of residential and commercial projects of varying complexity.

Electrical Design & Engineering: Design electrical systems such as distribution, transfer switching, UPS, grounding, lighting, life safety, emergency systems, and fire alarm systems, along with ICAT services (e.g., communication, AV, security systems).

Concept Design & Analysis: Prepare concept designs, load calculations, schematics, and system reports while analyzing customer proposals and specifications to provide cost-effective engineering solutions.

Client & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients throughout the project lifecycle to deliver successful outcomes, manage expectations, and address additional service or fee requirements.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and coach the project team to ensure technical accuracy, assigning duties, and supporting development as needed.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Professional Engineer with registration in 1 or multiple states

10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with some leadership experience

Experience managing a team
-
Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per building codes, energy codes, and other related standards

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent client and project management skills

Strong Leadership skills, able to delegate and manage staff and teams

LEED® Accredited Professional is preferred but not essential
