  • Assist with labor estimates for potential projects, always aiming for continuous improvement.

Relationship Management and Business Development

  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and others to discuss estimates and iron out any issues.
  • Secure the necessary equipment and materials for your projects.
  • Document customer feedback and use it to improve future jobs.
  • Keep an eye on material cost trends and suggest ways to cut costs and improve processes.
  • Stay responsive to the needs of both existing and potential customers, always on the lookout for new business opportunities.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Track, manage, and review all projects to ensure they’re on course.
  • Handle the purchasing of materials and equipment for every job.
  • Analyze completed projects, comparing estimated costs to actual outcomes, and offer recommendations for improving future estimates.
  • Keep your project files accurate, complete, and well-organized.
  • Manage job communication, especially when it comes to change orders, and ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Assist the production department in scheduling and coordinating jobs, and step in as a project manager when needed.
  • Process manufacturer warranties and review project plans and procedures for construction.
  • Conduct final walk-throughs with building owners or managers and review jobs post-completion to assess performance.
  • Coordinate effectively with superintendents and foremen to ensure project success.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings and provide updates during regular 1:1s with the Operations Manager.
  • Take on special projects as requested by management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and concerns to people with different styles.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information.
  • Comfort with numbers and the ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Proficiency with technology tools like phones, tablets, and estimating software.
  • Expertise in reading blueprints and specifications, combined with the ability to collect and research data.
  • Solid knowledge of various roof systems, materials, construction processes, and the ability to design a roof system.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate projects, communicate changes, and monitor progress.
  • The ability to teach others roofing installation skills and identify unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards.
  • A sharp eye for detail and quality, with the ability to meet and exceed productivity standards.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive benefits plan including health insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, and optional dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match.
  • Paid holidays (up to 10 each year).
