About the Role:
The Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the project lifecycle of various multi-family developments. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities while working closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and municipal officials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Assist in preparing and submitting development applications, permits, and other regulatory documentation
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including municipal authorities, consultants, and contractors
- Monitor project milestones and provide regular updates to senior management
- Review and manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and company standards
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders
- Support the procurement process, including vendor management and contract negotiations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset
- 1+ years of experience in a development or construction coordination role, preferably in multi-family projects
- Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local zoning bylaws, statutory plans, and policy plans
- Ability to research and interpret municipal and provincial policies
