KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the company in municipal inspections and planning processes.
- Maintain strong communication and consultation with clients throughout projects.
- Perform design engineering tasks across various disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and civil.
- Handle sourcing and project estimating responsibilities.
- Review and manage weekly time sheets for field staff.
- Provide on-site support to site supervisors and crew leaders.
- Utilize AutoCAD to support design and project execution.
- Prepare detailed reports and assist with job cost tracking.
- Reconcile materials and manage schedules using critical path planning methods.
- Interpret project drawings and ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
- Oversee subtrade management, including tendering, compliance, contract awards, completion verification, and payment reconciliation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction and the ability to provide guidance to subtrades.
- Experience working with municipal planning and building departments for permits and variances.
- Strong project management skills, including the use of tools and metrics for evaluating project performance.
- Proven ability to estimate costs and meet budgetary goals.
- Exceptional proficiency in blueprint and specification interpretation.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project is required.
- Knowledge of Sage 300 CRE, Procore, Revit, or Bluebeam is an asset.
- Understanding of commercial project management is an advantage.
- In-depth familiarity with the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering (EIT or P.Eng.), or a related field.
- BCIN qualifications are an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in engineered light wood frame structures is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of structural steel and concrete construction is beneficial.

- Compensation: $105,000 - $130,000 per year
