Our client, an established mid-sized private equity developer/owner/operator, is looking to add a Senior Property Manager to their team in North York, ON to support their accelerated growth. This role will include direct oversight of 10-12 commercial/industrial assets across the Greater Toronto Area and indirect mentorship to approx. 4 team members. The successful candidate will have strong client service strategies, strong financial acumen, a well-rounded skillset as it pertains to property management and operations, and a hands-on mentality with a genuine personality. We are looking for someone who is passionate about property management and contributing to company growth. This role will be based in-office with weekly site visits to properties. The Senior Property Manager will report into the General Manager.

Senior Property Manager Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all managed properties comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants.
  • Manage and oversee third-party vendors effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to uphold property standards.
  • Provide leadership and assist in resolving any arising issues.
  • Identify property deficiencies and recommend actionable plans for improvement.
  • Process purchase orders and work orders, and manage contractors.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with the scope and purpose of the role as assigned by management.
Senior Property Manager Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of property management experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in managing commercial/industrial properties.
  • Familiarity with YARDI (Voyager 7S) software is an asset.
  • Solid understanding and experience in financial accounting within commercial real estate, including financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities to manage projects and address complex financial, legal, and contractual challenges.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative ideas and implement solutions with measurable results.
  • Effective negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management, peers, and team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk identification and liability mitigation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A reliable vehicle is required for travel to various sites.
Senior Property Manager Compensation:
The successful candidate will receive competitive compensation including a base salary between $90,000-$110,000 (dependent on experience) + fully paid benefit package and 3 weeks vacation.
