$100K - $130K - offer will be based on intermediate or senior level experience.

OUR CLIENT
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable Heavy Civil Contractor based in Abbotsford.  Our client is well established within the market and is well reviewed by all who have had the pleasure of working with them.

We are looking for an experienced candidate within water/sewer and Heavy Civil estimating and bidding, and who would like an opportunity to grow into a PM/Estimator blended role to bid projects and manage them start to finish!

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Degree in civil engineering or engineering tech,
• Minimum of 3 years civil construction experience
• Exceptional communication skills and good industry exposure (earthworks, excavation, water/sewer, municipal work)
• Demonstrated commitment to your team and the aims and goals of the company
• Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in bid take-off software
• Demonstrated understanding of bid/tender requirements
• Keen sense of foresight and versatility and a track record for creative problem solving
• Risk identification and mitigation

WHAT'S REQUIRED

Requirements Analysis

• Identify potential tenders/pre-qualifications and communicate
• Analyze drawings and specifications
• Understand contractual terms and conditions
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing
• Stay updated on costs of materials, labour and equipment

Bid Preparation

• Detailed review of plans

• Read project specifications

• Performing quantity take-offs

• Supplier/Subcontractor engagement through tendering

• Successful Tenders

• Formulate cost or production break down from estimates and for project progress and execution

• Participation in Hand-Over meetings, if required
