Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, on route to their P.Eng with a strong foundation in electrical system design and proficiency in Revit to join their growing team. This role is perfect for an engineer with 4-7 years of experience looking to take the next step in their career by working on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. You will be a key player in designing and coordinating electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety, while collaborating closely with in-house teams and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including power, lighting, and communications systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and construction managers, ensuring coordinated and integrated project delivery.
• Leverage your expertise in Revit and BIM processes to produce detailed electrical designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and codes.
• Conduct site inspections, assessments, and provide feedback during project execution to ensure the highest level of quality and compliance.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations to optimize design and construction outcomes.
• Support senior engineers by contributing to the preparation of specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
• Assist in managing project timelines and ensuring designs are delivered within scope and on schedule.
• Stay up-to-date with electrical design trends, building codes, and safety standards to ensure the firm's practices are current and innovative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4-7 years of post-graduate experience in electrical design for building projects.
• On route to obtain their P.Eng designation
• Proficiency in Revit for electrical design and BIM coordination.
• Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, and National Building Code.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
