My client in Niagara Falls is seeking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to join our exceptionally talented and collaborative team! Reporting to the Managing Director at our Niagara Falls location, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse & facilities team. This role will be responsible for overseeing inventory control, shipping, receiving, processing returns, and returns testing. Additionally, this role will be the main point of contact for any facilities related matters such as facility maintenance and upkeep, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.



 Key Responsibilities:

Leadership
  • Oversee and lead the warehouse and facilities department, providing mentorship and guidance as needed
  • Train and develop a successful team by identifying any skill gaps within the department
  • Develop individual performance goals, conduct monthly one-on-one feedback sessions, and complete annual performance reviews to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
  • Empower the team towards achieving corporate objectives, departmental goals, and personal goals by sharing “the why” and the needs of the business
  • Strive to improve team member experience through optimization and automation of software and processes
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to all Health & Safety and security policies, procedures, and practices
  • Schedule overtime to meet deadlines or special projects as needed
  • Participate in the recruitment of all warehouse and facilities team members
Warehouse
  • Oversee and participate in the testing of product returns and determining the condition of the product (defective, new, or used)
  • Create and implement new operational policies, procedures, and processes to increase productivity, efficiency and accuracy of returns
  • Oversee and participate in warehouse operations including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and maintaining records of transactions
  • Maintain documentation and keep accurate record of warehouse activities by utilizing appropriate labelling for all packages
  • Safely operate machinery to move product and to load and unload trucks
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by regularly inspecting the warehouse and equipment
  • Order all supplies needed to keep the warehouse running efficiently
  • Conduct training sessions on proper safety procedures and new technology changes

Facilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility-related matters
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial systems
  • Manage all repairs and maintenance projects from start to finish, within budget and on schedule
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds to identify any necessary repairs for improvements
  • Monitor contractors during facility maintenance, ensure safety, sign-off on work, and authorize payment
  • Order all supplies needed to keep the facility running efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and legislation related to building code, health, and safety

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years warehouse leadership experience
  • Proven experience as warehouse worker, team leader, or similar role
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Experience using and ERP, MRP, or a WMS is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Analytical and highly motivated self-starter
  • Detail oriented problem solver
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
Good to have:
  • You have experience doing warehouse returns testing
  • You have experience with consumer electronics
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration
