Company Description: Our client is a leading dry blend manufacturer and distributor servicing North American industrial food processors. With a commitment to excellence in quality, food safety, and innovation, they are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

Role Description: As a Senior Product Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client maintains its commitment to quality, food safety, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for developing new products and enhancing existing ones, with a specific focus on dairy, bakery, and prepared foods applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop functional blends, stabilizer blends, and seasoning blend formulas from conceptualization to full production.
  • Create diverse applications showcasing ingredient functionality, with an emphasis on dairy applications.
  • Provide technical expertise and product solutions to customers, demonstrating new product features and capabilities.
  • Formulate, test, and optimize formulas and processes to meet nutritional, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Prepare lab samples, conduct sensory evaluations, and refine formulas for production optimization.
  • Stay updated on food trends and data to drive innovation and develop new concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science or related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing.
  • Essential understanding of raw materials and their functions in dairy applications.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in industry standards like HACCP, ISO, and GFSI.
  • Knowledge of labeling regulations and guidelines.
  • Solid comprehension of production processes.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in mathematical calculations and computer usage.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and data analysis.
