Inside Sales Representative

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with one of Western Canada’s leading HVAC/R distributors. Our client has been around for over 70+ years and is a highly respected industry leader. They are in search of a new Inside Sales Representative for their Edmonton branch.

Salary range for this position is in the $60,000-$70,000 range, in addition they offer a lucrative profit-sharing bonus.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical assistance and product support to customers in a professional manner.
  • Address customer concerns related to order status, delivery timelines, part identification, warranty coverage, and inventory levels.
  • Inform customers of ongoing deals, discounts, and promotional offerings.
  • Assist warehouse staff with incoming and outgoing shipments of HVAC/R components and materials.
  • Accurately enter and manage customer orders within internal systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and provide proactive suggestions to maintain optimal inventory.
  • Help ensure the accuracy of branch inventory through regular checks and careful handling.
  • Maintain the showroom by restocking and organizing merchandise displays.
  • Guide customers through company policies and offer solutions to common service issues.
  • Evaluate customer concerns to identify appropriate solutions while following company guidelines.
  • Apply safe practices when lifting or handling materials and equipment.
  • Prepare invoices and related documentation for walk-in or counter sales.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call schedule to provide emergency customer support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of effective sales techniques and customer engagement.
  • At least one year of experience in HVAC/R sales or a related field.
  • Understanding of HVAC/R systems with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Skilled in using computer systems to manage sales orders, returns, quotes, and inventory updates.
  • Familiarity with standard warehousing and inventory control procedures.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
  • Works well in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong communication abilities—both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and professional presence.
  • Committed to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
