Title: Scientist - Cell Biology/ Virology
Location: Greater Vancouver On-Site

Reports To: Director of Research and Development
Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 per annum

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scientist to join our Cell Biology Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading R&D projects and overseeing the development of cutting-edge products in the field of cell biology. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful research with a direct path to product commercialization.


Key Responsibilities:
 
As a key member of our Cell Biology team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading and executing R&D projects within the cell biology department.
  • Overseeing product development initiatives related to advanced cellular technologies.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with research, development, and production teams to translate innovation into product solutions.
  • Driving scientific excellence and contributing to the innovation pipeline.
Qualifications:

Shortlisted candidates will demonstrate the following:

PhD in Cell Biology or a closely related field with 5+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience.
Exceptional publication record, ideally with at least one publication per academic or professional year.
Technical expertise in at least one or more of the following areas:
  • Stem cells
  • 3D cell culture
  • Primary cell models
  • Cell-based assay development
  • Recombinant DNA technology
  • Viral vector systems
Outstanding technical skills in current cell biology technologies.
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and demonstrated leadership skills.
Industrial experience is required to be considered for top-tier compensation.
Proven leadership in operational or project management is a strong asset.
