Salary Range: $50,000 to $65,000 per annum

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our dynamic Cell Biology team. The successful candidate will provide technical support for our preclinical research programs, contributing to the advancement of novel therapeutics

Key Responsibilities:
Molecular Biology & Cloning:
    • Design, construct, and optimize plasmids for gene expression, protein production, and functional studies.
    • Perform PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation, and colony screening.
    • Maintain accurate records of cloning strategies, plasmid maps, and sequence verification.
Cell Culture & Protein Expression:
    • Culture and maintain a variety of mammalian and insect cell lines under sterile conditions.
    • Transfect and/or transduce cells for recombinant protein or antibody production.
    • Optimize expression conditions and scale up production as needed.
    • Harvest and purify proteins using affinity chromatography and other relevant techniques.
Quality Control & Documentation:
    • Conduct QC assays (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, endotoxin testing) to ensure product purity, identity, and functionality.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed batch records, SOPs, and quality documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to molecular biology workflows, cell culture, and protein purification.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to support new product development and process improvements.
    • Provide technical support and training to colleagues as required.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular cloning, PCR, and plasmid construction.
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique and mammalian/insect cell culture.
  • Familiarity with protein expression, purification, and characterization methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
