Long Standing Architecture & Design Firm
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000
(Dependent on Experience)

About the Firm:
We’re excited to be partnered with a well-established and highly respected architecture and design firm with a long-standing presence in Vancouver. Known for delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions across a range of complex project types including mixed-use, multi-family residential, and master planned communities, this firm has built a reputation for excellence in both design and technical execution.

In recent years, the firm has been steadily growing its portfolio in seniors living and assisted living developments, with several large-scale, mixed-use projects currently underway. As they continue to expand this important area of work, they are looking to add a strong Intermediate Architect who has experience in this typology to join the team and work directly with the partner in charge on these impactful projects.

Why Join This Team?
This firm is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and long-term career growth. You’ll work alongside a talented team of architects and technologists who value thoughtful design, precision, and creativity.

They offer:

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive health & dental benefits

  • A hybrid work model that supports flexibility and work-life balance

  • An office located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, close to restaurants, transit, and a variety of amenities

About the Role:
We’re looking for a design-driven and technically capable Intermediate Architect (Intern or Registered) with 3–5 years of post-graduate experience in an architectural practice. The ideal candidate will have worked on large-scale mixed-use and seniors living (assisted living/supportive housing) projects and be ready to take ownership of key project components from early concept through to construction. This role provides the unique opportunity to work directly with the partner leading the firm’s seniors living portfolio, contributing meaningfully to the design and execution of projects that serve aging populations with dignity and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams on the design and documentation of seniors living and large mixed-use residential projects

  • Support all project phases from feasibility and schematic design through to construction documentation

  • Prepare drawing packages for Development and Building Permit applications

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal team members to ensure design intent and project milestones are achieved

  • Ensure compliance with BC Building Code, VBBL, and relevant zoning bylaws

  • Participate in site meetings

  • Contribute to design discussions and mentor junior staff where appropriate

  • Help ensure high-quality outcomes that are both contextually responsive and technically sound

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

  • AIBC Intern Architect or Registered Architect (or eligible for registration in BC)

  • 3–5 years of experience in architecture firms, post graduation

  • Demonstrated experience working on seniors living, assisted living, and large-scale residential/mixed-use projects

  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset

  • Solid understanding of local code requirements, building systems, and construction methods

  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills

  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, buildable design solutions

What’s On Offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and market benchmarks

  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits

  • Ongoing professional development and support for licensure

  • A collaborative and supportive studio culture with long-term career growth opportunities

  • Hybrid work environment to support flexibility and work-life balance

  • A prime downtown office location, steps from transit, dining, and shops
