Job Overview:

Manage and maintain flawless project operations over our commercial roofing projects. Work together with internal team members and external partners to ensure we deliver high quality roofing systems and materials, exceed customer expectations and execute projects as successfully as possible. 

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers
  • Proactively network and build relationships to help generate bid opportunities & attend bid meetings with a focus of assessing re-roof opportunities or projects in alignment with our company financial goals 
  • Oversee proposal submissions, contract details/negotiation and full contract execution 
  • Manage all digital project-related files
  • Familiarity with internal project handoff procedures to inform team of project timelines, specifications and assigned team responsibilities 
  • Coordinate & communicate with project’s general contractor & have extensive knowledge of scope of work requested 
  • Manage and coordinate necessary crews to ensure deadlines are met in addition to ensuring crew safety standards and quality work at all times
  • Effectively work in tandem with superintendents to ensure all aspects of a project’s progress is on track 
  • Manage all components of vendor orders and material deliveries & coordinate metal fabrication needs in a timely manner
  • Apply for and obtain necessary permits, secure bid bonds 
  • Ensure all project reports are completed and submitted accurately and reviewed  
  • Manage subcontractor payments, invoices, change orders & project billings 
  • Oversee all aspects of project completion & sign off - ordering inspections, inspection report review, punch list item sign off, request necessary warranties, final project assessments and evaluations 
  • Enforce and follow all safety guidelines, protocols & certifications
  • Responsible for all company property and vehicle(s) as assigned 

Skills:

  • Ability to quickly adjust to changing project schedules, changes in deadlines, and communicate promptly as needed 
  • Required leadership skills : effective communication, ability to motivate & create a cohesive team, works well under pressure, attune to customer needs, goal oriented, and adhere to plans successfully
  • Demonstrate high level communication and follow-up throughout the duration of all projects, with all partners involved
  • Demonstrate a willingness and determination to learn through consistent on-the-job training and any required formal training/certifications 
  • Ability to navigate and work with varying personalities among a team to complete a project successfully 
  • Exhibit positive attitude and sound judgment pertaining to decisions impacting the company, team or project

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a prior project management or estimating role 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30 , forklift certification preferred 
  • Technology: Gmail, stack, applications, Team, etc. is a plus 
  • Familiar with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) requirements as necessary .
  • Familiar with planrooms such as procore, planhub, isqft, etc.
