Our award winning and well established engineering design firm specialized in both road construction and complex bridge design is offering an opportunity to join their expanding team in a lead road design role.  With operations and projects in both Canada and USA and boasting an incredible industry reputation, our client is expanding their Canadian operations offering an opportunity to work on exciting projects and offer unique design solutions. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
In this role you will be an expert multitasker with impeccable attention to detail. The best person for this role will have an extraordinary ability to anticipate needs by thinking strategically and executing thorough proactive communication, transparency and provide practical integrated design solutions. 

• Coordinate and manage; road team, design projects, and the conduct and growth of connected road disciplines (Designers, CAD Techs, Road Engineers, etc).
• Review and approve Road Engineers’ calculations. Ensure CSA S6 codes are followed and MTQ, MTO, and MTM codes, design standards and manual requirements are upheld (knowledge of AASHTO is preferred but not required)
• Resolve design inconsistencies and conflicts for the design team
• Lead project pursuits by determining budget estimates and staffing requirements
• Send Tech Proposal Writer project details for; Requests of Qualifications (RFQ), Statement of Qualification (SOQ), and Proposal preparation
• Travel to support clients and project teams within Canada and US (as required)

Education/Certifications: 

• Civil Engineering degree required, Bachelor's or Master's
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE, P.Eng), authorization in Quebec would be an asset
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
• Experience in project management and on MTQ, MTO, or MTM projects
• Expert knowledge of software programs: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GeoPak, InRoad, GuideSIGN, and/or AutoTURN
