Our client has been acquired by a private equity company and closing down.
They have an immediate need for a Payroll Clerk to assist with the final weeks of payroll. This will start as full time hours, but may decrease to part time hours in the final couple weeks.
Reporting to the Consulting CFO the Payroll Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all remaining employees, maintaining payroll records, employee remittances and final payroll reporting - T4's, ROE's etc.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for 20+ employees in Ontario and BC
- Reviewing timekeeping records for accuracy, promptly addressing, and resolving any identified discrepancies.
- Responding to payroll inquiries, promptly and professionally.
- Assisting with reconciliations, preparation of T4 forms and related summaries.
Qualifications:
- PCP certification preferred but not necessary
- Minimum 3 years experience in full cycle payroll
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office and ADP
- You will have exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
- You have good interpersonal skills, confidence, a willingness to learn, and professionalism.
- You have the ability to work independently as this is a remote role
