TalentSphere is seeking a leader for an established multi-million dollar building materials retail business headquartered in Manitoba.
About our client
Our client is an established LBM Retail business employing 150-200 employees and generating profits in excess of $50m per annum. With an established and growing customer base, this business has shown consistent growth over many years based on the exceptional customer service provided by their team of loyal employees.
About the role
Stepping into the General Management role, this individual will take charge of the entire operations of the business. They will provide leadership and direction to all divisions across the organisation and will drive the business to continued success. Maintaining the business' excellent relationships with the staff will be key in building for the future. The person we seek will understand the importance of engaging the workforce and will help them focus on the common goal of growing the business's footprint in Manitoba.
Developing the business' key pillars of success, namely customer service, competitive pricing, technical expertise and long term customer relationships will be central to this leader's role. They will report to the ownership and have full P&L control of the facility.
As the leader, this person will be relied upon to provide the vision for the organisation and will be accountable for continually seeking to improve all aspects of the operation including;

Who we are looking for
This is a large and profitable retail operation and is going to suit an individual with proven retail leadership experience. At over $50m and 150-200 people, this is a major operation and will require someone who has lead a similarly sized business in the past. We are looking for a person who is an exceptionally strong leader of people and understands how to develop and nurture a business culture. We do not need dramatic change and thus are not looking for the short term change mentality but rather someone who sees this as their long term career opportunity and wants to commit many years to nurturing this business and continuing its proud history.
