Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Langley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wood-frame residential construction and a passion for leading on-site operations. As the Site Superintendent, you will be instrumental in driving our projects to successful completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
• Lead, mentor, and effectively manage a team of in-house staff, skilled trades, and subcontractors.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the project schedule to ensure key milestones and completion dates are met.
• Manage project resources and control on-site costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
• Champion and enforce the company’s health and safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
• Implement and oversee a strict quality control program, conducting regular inspections to guarantee superior workmanship.
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact, collaborating effectively with the Project Manager, consultants, and municipal inspectors.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, site records, and project documentation.
• Foster positive and professional relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, trades, and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on wood-frame, multi-family, or single-family residential projects in Canada.
• In-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code, local bylaws, and construction best practices.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong supervisory skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in on-site cost control.
• A steadfast commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Technically proficient with computers and familiar with construction management software (e.g., Procore) is a strong asset.
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Trade certification or a post-secondary education in a related field is an asset. Gold Seal Certification (or candidacy) is highly regarded.
