Position Objective
Lead all aspects of strategic and tactical planning and execution for commercial and multifamily repair and replacement projects in the Service Department. Review each project daily and implement safety, production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
Requirements
General Responsibilities
The service manager receives all notifications for Service work, sold scopes of work, and call-in leak calls.
For ALL sold scopes of work, review the information provided by the sales and admin team.
This includes but is not limited to:
  • Detailed scope of work
  • Quote containing materials
  • Equipment needed
  • Supervision hours
  • Safety set up
  • Aerial drawing
  • Roof access
  • Areas of concern in detail
  • Special requests
  • Site specific safety requirements
  • Work hours
  • Customer contact information
Assign a crew and schedule on the Power board.
Order materials for the project.
Put received materials together with any site-specific safety equipment needed and include all necessary paperwork for the crew.
Schedule a pre-job meeting with the customer and the crew on-site.
Walk the roof with the crew and layout the repairs.
For T&M Leak Calls
Review the information on the notification as to the type of work and/or reason for the leak call.
Contact customer and give a tentative ETA.
Assign a crew on the Power board.
Weekly Crew Scheduling 
Create a tentative schedule for the current week.
Communicate with the service foreman on all projects.
Stay in constant communication with the customers in regards to schedule and progress.
Service Crew Paperwork 
The Service Manager is responsible to ensure all paperwork is turned in by each crew for every job completed. Items include but are not limited to:
  • Material Transfer
  • Proper service photos
  • Time Sheet
  • Receipts for materials purchased for job
  • Weekly Timesheet
  • Weekly Toolbox talk
  • Weekly Service Vehicle Inventory
  • Weekly Vehicle Log
  • Tool and Equipment Inspection Log
