Compounder
We are looking for an experienced compounder to join the team in our busy, fast-paced warehouse in Bristol, PA. We are a light manufacturing site with a small team made up of hard working, dedicated individuals. The Compounder plays a key role with responsibility for mixing and preparing the cosmetic and OTC drug products we proudly produce and ship to treat the wounds of thousands of nursing home residents every day. We are looking for someone with a flexible, service-oriented mindset who is willing to cross-train and fill in help wherever and whenever needed. We are team players and we got the job done together!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces product by mixing raw materials; monitoring and adjusting the mixing process. Completes associated documentation and electronic checks in the proper sequence.
- Prepares product for next process by unloading the mixer into totes, drums or vessels and labeling the finished batch.
- Maintains quality standards by verifying weight and contents of raw materials; conducting in-process batch inspections; documenting all process events; approving product for next step in manufacturing process. Submits completed documentation in a timely, organized fashion.
- Prepares for next batch by cleaning mixing equipment by washing, steaming, and sanitizing with proper protocols, methods and cleaning materials.
- Moves, stores, and organizes raw material and finished product using a forklift and manual pallet jack.
- Demonstrate absolute dedication to safety, physical cleanliness, and organization of the work area. Ensures that OSHA safety standards are met in the mixing area.
- Retrieve and load drums onto other production machines as requested.
- Cross-train and assist with other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 or more years' experience in compounding/mixing, OTC or cosmetic industry preferred
- Computer skills to effectively complete documentation, write reports and keep files organized
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for one’s area of work
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good math skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to utilize a mixer, cleaning equipment, forklift, manual pallet jack, protective and safety equipment, computer, and office phone.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
Daily schedule is 8:00-4:30pm, occasional early start and overtime will be required.
$20 - $30 / hour
