Our client is offering an incredible opportunity to join their engineering and project management team, working on technical support during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects.  
 
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
As an exciting and rapidly growing company, who is driving innovation in the commercial solar energy systems industry, our client is offering an opportunity to help them revolutionize the solar energy systems industry.  Our client is an industry leader in renewables and environment and oversees ongoing commercial and utility scale solar projects across the United States.
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
In this role you should have a strong electrical design background including a solid understanding of underground utilities with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of experience with various stages of solar projects.  Solar experience is ideal, but our client is willing to train and educate the right individual who demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate design, engineering, quality control, and commissioning for multiple 1-20 MW ground mounted solar and storage projects
Assist with technical due diligence efforts for a portfolio of pre-contract projects
Work closely with preconstruction team to review technical requirements of potential opportunities
Procure quotes from vendors and suppliers for major equipment
Proofread construction drawings, including single line diagrams
Design preliminary layouts and wiring of solar arrays for potential commercial clients, taking into account local laws and incentives
Work closely with the sales team to design PV systems that would best fit each client’s financial and energy needs
Support the construction efforts in the management of material procurement, submittals and RFIs
Establish a level of accountability within their team, through empowering and establishing clear responsibilities
Displays dedication, time management, cadence and effectively elevates their team when needed
 
This candidate will also have the following aspects:
Flexibility to travel to project locations
Ability to read detailed civil, structural, and electrical drawings and perform product take-off and calculations
Possess necessary communication skills to professionally interface with subcontractors and clients
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
High Level of Computer Literacy (including spreadsheets).
Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills – builds effective relationships across departments.
Team player – exhibits great leadership and coaching skills.
Initiative to develop and implement process improvements. Continuous improvement outlook.
Abides by Health & Safety standards and emphasizes their importance to team members.
Legally able to work in the United States of America
