2 years of B2B or B2C Selling will be of high interest

Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC would be highly considered 

$43 to 48K annually ($21.50 to 24.00 per hour). For strong experience may consider 25.00 per hour 
Attractive Base Salary + Benefits + RRSP + incentives + recognition bonuses. 


Our client, a construction / building materials business located in Barrie, ON are looking for a talented inside sales representative (43-48K) who is responsible for providing excellent customer service to their busy walk-in clientele. This is considered to be one of their stronger location, which means opportunity for growth within the company. The chosen candidate will have strong experience within a Plumbing or HVAC retail environment as an inside sales rep/ order desk/counter sales.  

About the company.

Our client is one of North America’s leading full distribution Plumbing - HVAC providers with a 100,000 sq ft facility. This is regarded as one of the main branches with many leaders in and out of the facility. The selected candidate will report to the Branch Manager and will serve the customers by phone or in person at both the service counter and through the order desk. This position requires constant follow-up and communication with purchasing, shipping, expediting and sales people to ensure the highest possible level of customer service. The focus of this position first and foremost is to ensure that we meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. The company and division are growing and we are in need of a strong candidate to take the lead the customer experience.

Duties performed on a daily basis. 
  • Receives from customers, by phone, fax, text or via external sales representative, sales orders and enter all information required for order picking into the system.

  • Answers customer questions pertaining to price and product. Supply customer with relevant information. Provides alternatives and suggestions when appropriate.

  • Calls customers for additional details and/or to give them the availability of special products and/or the replacement.

  • Provides small quotes to customers using computer system as needed.

  • Transcribes all non-stock material in order for the purchasing dept. to order the material.

  • Assists when required, in all aspects of branch activities (small branches only).

  • Makes regular phone calls to specific customers when required.

  • Follow-up on direct shipments from suppliers to customers to ensure billing to customer is timely.

  • Executes all other duties required by the position or by the immediate superior.

EDUCATION: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: One year (12 months) warehouse experience, order picking
One year (12 months) experience related to customer service. Two years (24 months minimal experience related to inside sales.
3 month training period
