Production Supervisor

Our award winning client is offering an opportunity to join their expanding team as a Production Supervisor. In this interactive role, you will be responsible for the business function of production in a Lean Manufacturing environment and the implementation of the principles and techniques of Lean Manufacturing on the shop floor.

The overall goal of the Production Supervisor is to accomplish safe, high quality, cost effective achievement of the production schedule so that commitments to customers, employees, and suppliers are fulfilled.

This candidate will have the following aspects;

  • 3-5 years as a Team Leader or other supervisory experience in a large scale, fast pace manufacturing/production environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of OH&S regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge/skills is a definite asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization in a multi-cultural production facility
  • Demonstrated leadership skills that provide motivation for employees to increase morale, efficiency and production
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Technical Diploma in relevant field would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision making, team work and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must have demonstrated decision-making skills, the ability to easily interact with others.
  • Flexibility and availability for shift work & OT is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
  • Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred.
