Our client, a reputable and stable organisation, is looking for candidates with 7 to 20  years of progressive Civil engineer project experience. 
  • Responsible for the leading and developing the technical design of civil engineering works including:
  • Participation in Major Design Build and P3 Infrastructure Projects
  • Roadway and Transportation Design
  • Utility Design, including Watermains, Sewers and Force Mains
  • Reviewing the work of design staff 
  • Preparation of tender documents including specification; front-end documents and special provisions
  • Field reviews / construction management
  • Quality management of deliverables
  • Review the preparation of quantity take-offs
  • Liaison with clients and project management team
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members
  • 7+  years’ experience working on various civil project including some transportation projects
  • Prior experience working for a consulting engineering company as well as experience working in medium to large metropolitan areas preferred. Project Management experience desirable.
  • A thorough knowledge of design and construction procedures related to the provision of municipal infrastructure for residential, commercial and/or industrial land development projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Project  or Primavera P6 for the creation and review of engineering designs, reports, proposals and related documents
  • A strong understanding of the municipal planning requirements associated with various residential and commercial land development initiatives is imperative to the work you will do
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and liaising with architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, street lighting designers, surveyors, and other related professionals normally part of the land development project team
  • A thorough knowledge of the preparation of tender bid documents (using CCDC format), bid estimating, and contract administration (on behalf of the Owner) throughout the duration of the construction period
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Interpersonal skills include the ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner in a business environment, skills in diplomacy, the ability to listen and provide guidance and leadership
  • P.Eng designation
