Position: ICI Head Site Superintendent
Reports to: Construction and Project Manager
Location: Brampton.
Salary: $110-150K Dependent on experience
Scope: The Construction/Site Superintendent coordinates and supervises all on-site construction activities by project scope, contract requirements and overall financial targets.
Functions:
Plan, schedule, and ensure the successful performance of all onsite requirements, including trades, safety, financial and project targets
• Ensure the effective management of all trades in completing work on time and budget.
• Consult with building owners and tenants to determine build-out needs, emphasizing mutually beneficial solutions and outcomes.
• Ensure documented communication with all parties for build-out progress throughout the project.
• Draw up estimates for construction projects, including labour, materials, and other related costs.
• Implement cost-effective solutions and project management techniques throughout the project.
• Hire, train, and assign contractors to the project.
• Coordinate all construction project activities and services across the construction team.
• Oversee a strict build-out schedule, ensuring milestones are reached and deadlines are met.
• Maintain a daily log of build-out progress.
• Perform walk-through and after-care instructions with landlord and tenants after project completion.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in build-out construction with projects ranging from $5-20M
• 10+ years of experience as a construction head superintendent with residential, long term care, nursing home, hospital, and or hotel with more than 5 floors
• Proficiency and experience in Excel/Google Sheets and AutoCAD.
• Experience in team and project management.
• Ability to effectively work with and manage a large team of contractors and subcontractors with previous trade experience as a mason, carpenter, operating engineer, surveyor
• Analytically and mathematically minded.Critical thinker and problem solver.
