THE COMPANY
Our client, a successful Architecture, Design and Planning firm in Calgary, is currently looking to add a dynamic, Intermediate or Senior Interior Designer to their team. This firm is known for their creative, collaborative, and conscientious design and has an impressive portfolio of work. 

THE JOB
In this role, the intermediate or senior designer will provide planning services to ensure optimal use of space and will develop occupancy and logistical options to achieve client needs. They will work both autonomously and in teams to develop design concepts, plans and forecasts according to client needs, with consideration to factors such as cost, budget, timelines, context and location. Projects will include commercial, institutional, mixed use, community and recreational spaces.

This role will have you providing strong leadership and you will take responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects including coordination of design, production, contract administration, and financial success. From a technical standpoint, you will render design ideas in the form of 3-D renderings, working drawings, plans, models and schemes using Revit and CAD software, as well as other programs. As an intermediate or senior interior designer in the firm, you will work alongside the principals and associates to ensure project deliverables are met, whilst also liaising with clients and municipal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

WHAT'S REQUIRED
To be successful in this role, you will possess either a diploma or degree in Interior Design and will ideally have between 6 and 20 years years of industry experience. You will have experience working on a range of project types including some large public, community or institutional work. Commercial project experience is also an asset. Awareness of building issues, building and safety codes, the range of relevant products and materials, ergonomics, and applicable industry standards and regulations is also important. Finally, a creative, outgoing and committed attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for this role.
