Our client is seeking a Paving Superintendent that is responsible for managing paving crews and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule. You'll work closely with our Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to plan and execute projects to meet our high-quality standards while keeping safety as our top priority.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project team members in job and project planning
• Supervise paving crew(s) to ensure work is completed within established parameters, on time, and within budget
• Comply with estimates, specifications, and project schedules
• Keep records of labor, material costs, and owned/rented equipment to ensure everything is within budget and available when needed
• Inspect and review the quality of work
• Liaise with managers to keep them informed of any potential scheduling issues and determine the course for corrective action
• Communicate and oversee on-site safety program and promote the importance of health and safety in the field
• Maintain professionalism towards our company and customers
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety standards, operations, maintenance, training, and cleanliness standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum College Diploma or equivalent construction industry experience
• 7 to 10 years of experience in asphalt paving, including MTO/Municipal projects
• Exposure to provincial/municipal government contracts would be an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with multiple levels of ownership
