Our client, an established Boutique Real Estate Developer is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team!

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for preparing full cycle accounting duties for companies within the corporate group. Working closely with the Controller and the accounting team, this is wonderful opportunity to gain experience working alongside professionals to collectively improve efficiencies and processes for internal and external financial reporting.

 
Senior Corporate Accountant duties:
 

• Full cycle accounting for Woodbridge 
• Ensure all business transactions are recorded and reported in accordance with accounting standards and company policies and procedures.
• Preparation of weekly cash report.
• Invoices coding and processing of payments within the corporate group.
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, schedules, and bank reconciliations.
• Work closely with team members regarding month-end close
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entry postings for the various investment funds and entities within the corporate group
• Prepare chargebacks invoices to projects.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts, corporate credit card and shareholder account
• Preparation and filing of GST returns for the various corporate entities
• Coordinate and manage external review engagement with external auditors and tax consultants 2/2 Respond to queries from staff, auditors, investors, and vendors
• Implement streamlined processes, systems, and tools with the objective of supporting the company’s growth
• Provide training and support to the AP Specialist and other team members.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as necessary and other duties as assigned

Senior Corporate Accountant requirements:
 

• Possesses a CPA designation or enrolled in the CPA program
• 3+ years accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Familiarity with Yardi or Quickbooks is an asset
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Team oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative with proven results
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and genuine passion for growth and development
