ROLE OVERVIEW
The Intermediate Interior Designer is responsible for contributing to the management & completion of smaller scale projects. They possess creativity and have experience juggling multiple hospitality, condo, and retail projects, with some team experience working on large complex projects.

The Intermediate Interior Designer is responsible for contributing to the management & completion of smaller scale projects. They possess creativity and have experience juggling multiple hospitality, condo, and retail projects, with some team experience working on large complex projects.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
- B.A.A. Bachelor of Applied Arts, or B.F.A. Bachelor in Fine Arts, focused on interior design; or college degree
- 4+ years work Canadian work experience: solid OBC, and design process skills, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
- Ability to research & gather info to support SOW & initial design
- Experience with concept and design development: sketch free-hand or in 3D software, delegate & mentor junior designers, attend/assist presentation of design concept to clients; coordinate with trades and consultants
- With help of Team Lead, ensure working drawings are code compliant & understands the importance of documentation
- Assists Team Lead/Design Manager with tendering and construction activities and some project management duties; enjoys visits to clients; having well-rounded project experience
- Software: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & SketchUp required; Revit, V-Ray and Illustrator an asset
- preference to member of ARIDO, LEED certified, or working towards NCIDQ
