Our client is a family-owned and people-focused general contractor providing a learning culture, open communication, professionalism, and accountability. They are seeking a Drill and Blast Manager with a diverse skill set to provide strong leadership and management of the drill and blast unit.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and mentoring direct reports
• Assisting in field or office operations as needed
• Building and maintaining positive client and industry relationships
• Optimizing margins while securing required volumes
• Overseeing all elements of Drill and Blast operations, including subcontractors
• Planning and coordinating labor and equipment requirements
• Managing mine permitting and planning

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in Drill and Blast operations, including crew management
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for Drill and Blast operations
• Exceptional leadership and relationship management skills
• Strong knowledge of Urban and Highway drill/blast operations, earth moving, and Quarry work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possession of a Surface Blasting Ticket is a plus.
