TalentSphere has partnered with a well established and award-winning, mid-sized Architecture Firm with an office in Edmonton, to assist them in finding a recently registered Architect or Intern Architect to join their team. This firm have an excellent reputation and have an excellent portfolio of work encompassing both large scale developments as well as small, boutique projects across commercial, community, public hospitality and other work. This firm are continuing to grow and this is a great opportunity to join their collaborative team as they continue to produce award winning projects and provide excellent service delivery to their clients.
THE JOB
This role would suit a well rounded Intern architect or architectural professional who is comfortable to work on all phases of a project including schematic design, pre-design research, technical work and client liaison. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for great design work and will come from a background demonstrating this, even if they haven't been extensively involved in design. The role will have you giving input into design development, production, detailing, construction documents, development permits, submittals and tender, potentially some construction administration, city liaison, project management and assisting other staff. You will be involved in a variety of projects across different sectors. This is a great opportunity for a young professional looking for some great mentorship to develop their skillset and career and grow into a fully registered Architect.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
The strong candidate will possess at least 5 years of post graduate experience and have robust design skills and be flexible with a desire to learn and grow. You will be capable of working independently and and in teams.
In additional to good design skills, you must have some Revit skills or the desire to learn Revit to a high level. Ideally you will be registered as an Intern Architect with the AAA or eligible to become registered and have between 2 to 10 years of combined industry experience.
Building and project performance are top priorities for you, and strong written and verbal communication skills will accompany your dedicated work ethic.
