ABOUT THE JOB
The primary purpose of the role is to oversee construction field work on a Low-Rise Residential site by managing site activities. The position acts as the main interface with trades and sub-contractors and ensures that all lots are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, attention to detail so as to maintain the Company’s quality standards and expectations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizes technical expertise to provide direction to site staff.

  • Take a lead role in executing the project management team’s schedules, permits, contracts/scopes of work, and communicates with the team on a daily basis with progress updates or status reports as required.

  • Manages, plans and schedules to meet deliverables and regularly review progress, ensuring houses are completed on time and on budget.

  • Oversees the performance of trades with close attention to detail and trade quality of work and ensures the accurate completion of Purchaser extras and or custom changes.

  • Oversees the close-out phase of projects, by reducing deficiencies to avoid unnecessary PDI issues after occupancy, and a smooth transition to Customer Care.

  • Oversees and provides direction to staff regarding the final stage of curb and side walk coordination, driveway and sod installation.

  • Works closely with the Customer Care department to ensure that the standards of customer care are met, and company policies are followed.

  • Adheres to, implements and enforces the Company’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and advises Senior Management of any unsafe conditions or practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of relevant, progressive experience in the low-rise, residential building industry

  • Solid hands-on rough stage experience

  • Experience with stacked and mid-rise product is a must

  • Underground garage experience considered a valuable asset

  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Strong communication and reporting skills

  • Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team atmosphere

  • Strong working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects (Ontario) and Tarion Rules and Regulations.

Compensation is between $100K-$140K depending on the candidate's experience.
