Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Enjoying 17 years of growth and a period of organisational stability, our client currently seeks a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support their manufacturing facilities and distribution centers in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.
Based within the Plant in Carseland, Alberta this individual will work with Plant Managers and Line Managers across Western Canada providing HR Business Partnering support to this unionized organisation. Travel of up to 25% will be required to service facilities across Western Canada.
This is a varied and dynamic HRBP role which will require an experienced and knowledgeable HR professional (CHRP qualification required) to provide support in the following areas among others;
- Employee relations and labour relations
- Training and Development
- Conflict resolution including arbitration processes and investigations
- Succession Planning
- Data collection, interpretation and presentation relating to HR subject matter
- Disciplinary processes
- Health and Safety
- Management of Collective Agreements (experience of negotiating a Collective Agreement not essential)
- Compensation and Benefits
- Workforce Planning
- Organisational Development
We are looking for an experienced HR generalist with experience within a manufacturing environment ideally. Knowledge of unions and experience working within Collective Agreements would be great to have. HR qualifications are a requirement such as CHRP.
Most importantly the person should be quite self sufficient. There is a team but they are based in the East so this person needs to be the go-to person for management in the West of Canada. Hence, experience in a business partnering role is essential.
