Our client is a long-established, family-owned food manufacturer specializing in a niche market.  

Role Overview
Reporting into the CFO, this position is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and oversight of internal controls. It plays a key role in supporting various operational teams while also managing a small  team. 

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day financial operations including ap, ar, balance sheet and month end activities

• Oversee cash flow forecasting, day-to-day cash management, and banking activities

• Lead monthly variance analysis and reporting 

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance 

• Lead the development of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and support long-range strategic planning

• Provide leadership and coaching to a small team of accounting professionals

Qualifications

• CPA designation required

• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles with ownership of A/P, A/R, and general ledger functions
  Min 2 years at a managerial level

• CPG or  Food Manufacturing Industry experience preferred

• Standard costing and production variance analysis expertise required

• Strong systems experience, SAP preferred
