We are representing our clients, a leading subcontractor specializing in high-rise development projects in the GTA, in the search of a Senior Business Development Manager. With a proven track record of excellence in construction and a commitment to delivering quality results, the company has established themselves as a trusted partner in the industry. As they continue to grow and expand our operations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join the team to bring in lots of valuable connections and relationships within the GTA.

Position Overview: As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and fostering strategic partnerships in the high-rise construction sector. Leveraging your extensive network of contacts and deep understanding of the industry landscape, you will identify and pursue lucrative opportunities for subcontracted projects in the GTA.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including general contractors, developers, architects, and engineers in the GTA.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities and secure contracts for subcontracted high-rise development projects.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor proposals and bids that meet client needs and align with company capabilities.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including pricing, scope of work, timelines, and payment terms.
  • Maintain a comprehensive CRM system to track leads, client interactions, and project progress.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform business strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and foster relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development within the construction industry or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of success in securing contracts and driving business growth.
  • Extensive network of contacts and relationships within the GTA construction sector.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business development plans.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
