The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Utility Manager, estimating and planning the development and coordination when required, of various projects within Ontario and Western Canada.


•    Promote new business within the Company;
•    Collaborate with estimating team, provide support if required, and participate in the estimating and tendering process for projects within the scope of RBS;
•    Analyze documents, specifications, proposals in preparation for pricing
•    Review project site prior to price preparation 
•    Obtain input from operations staff
•    Obtain pricing from suppliers and incorporate into estimate
•    Formulate all costs for tender submission – labour, equipment, material, subcontracts
•    Organize and obtain all appropriate bonding and insurance requirements for tenders through admin staff
•    Accountable for the completion and accuracy of tender submissions
•    Distribute administrative documentation appropriately upon award of project
•    Monitor and provide job cost reports to management on active projects if required
•    Coordinate with Operations staff for the price and reconciliation of changes to the scope of work
•    Provide data and input for month-end reconciliations
•    Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects
•    Provide technical support to field staff if requested
Communicate with sub-trades


•    Minimum 3 years experience in Project Management or Utility Estimating
•    College or University graduate preferably in Civil Engineering 
•    Estimating experience in construction projects including utility installation in urban and rural areas
•    Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents
•    Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint
•    Previous knowledge of Bid 2 Win software, considered an asset
•    Strong communication skills, both oral and written
•    Superior organization and time management skills
•    Ability to work accurately and under pressure
•    Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
•    Self motivated individual with strong problem solving skills and willing to take on new challenges
•    Ability to work with others as a team
•    Valid driver’s license

$80-$110K + vehicle and gas card, benefits bonus and RRSPs.
