Summary
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role of the Sales Representative is to pursue and acquire new customers, maintain current customers, and address customer product and pricing concerns. The Sales Representative will be responsible for their own territory in Ontario and can be located anywhere within or close to their territory.  The client base will be in the building materials and/or construction industries.
 
Responsibilities
  • Initiate sales calls and build relationships on potential new accounts
  • Maintain customer relations with accounts and address customer concerns effectively
  • Communicate with Branch Manager regarding changes in the marketplace (i.e. pricing and product)
  • Keep customers informed of product enhancements and/or new product offerings
  • Work with customers at trade shows and dealer promotion events
  • Discuss and develop creative sales and marketing strategies with Branch Manager
  • Develop new sales territories to drive profitability of the branch location
  • Inspect and report on warranty claims
  
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will possess a university degree/diploma in Marketing or related field
  • Several years of relevant experience within sales or sales management focusing on small and medium-sized businesses
  • Must have a valid class “G” drivers license and able to travel as required
