Our national client with a global footprint is seeking a Manager of Payroll.
Reporting into Finance and a key member of the leadership team, this role will have you partnering with Total Rewards and an outside Payroll service provider to ensure timely and accurate payroll to over 1000 employees nation wide. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing, leading, guiding and developing a small team of payroll professionals in a multi-provincial organization with 1000+ employees
- Managing, reviewing and delivering on multiple payrolls within the organization
- Implementing best practices, controls and process improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, diplomacy and professionalism.
- Work seamlessly and collectively between the Talent Team and Finance identifying areas of concern within systems, processes or other..
- Assist the finance team with complex payroll calculations and payments
- Compliance reporting, documentation and effective administration within all things Payroll
- Bachelor Degree, PCP certification and /or equivalent education and certifications
- Minimum 7 years progressive payroll experience within a large complex environment
- Minimum 4 years direct staff management and development experience
- Multi – provincial payroll experience within a professional services environment is preferred
- Excellent proficiency of Payroll softwares including ADP is required
- You have exceptional English verbal and written communication skills. French language skills are a strong asset.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, a willingness to improve, and professionalism in all aspects of your work.
- You can work independently and have experience managing a remote team.
