Salary: $75,000


Our Client:
Our client is a reputable General Contractor in Las Vegas that is looking for a Construction Safety Manager.



What You’ll Do:
 
  • Safety Planning: Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure that construction sites are following all applicable laws and standards.
  • Training and Education: Conduct safety training programs for construction workers, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, inspection reports, and training records.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to all stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and workers. Prepare and submit safety reports as required.



What You’ll Need:
 
  • Education and Certification: A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related field is typically required. In-depth knowledge of OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926 for Construction. Certification in construction safety (such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification) is highly desirable. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in construction safety management or a related role is usually required. Experience in commercial or multifamily construction projects is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations, such as OSHA standards, and the ability to interpret and apply them in a construction setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate safety guidelines, conduct training programs, and write reports.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse workforce and drive a safety-first culture.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to identify potential hazards, conduct thorough inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Physical Fitness: Construction safety managers may be required to move around construction sites, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks. Good physical fitness is essential for this role.
