THE COMPANY

Our client, a leading North American Architecture & Engineering firm is seeking a talented and energetic Human Resources Manager to oversee human resource operations across multiple offices in the USA. This company have a strong reputation and offer a remote/hybrid work model, competitive benefits and a great work environment.

THE ROLE
You would work with a small but dynamic team of HR support staff and be involved in overseeing the HR functions for approximately 300 staff. Duties include:
  • Drives the Human Resources regional strategy in collaboration with the global executive team
  • Provides continuous assessment and improvements to HR programs and policies
  • Accountable for the overall regional HR operations as executed by the HR team
  • Ensures adherence to local, state and federal regulations, and liaises with legal and benefits consultants to ensure up-to-date compliance across the region
  • Delivers benefits and adjusts programs as required to meet legislative requirements, market competitiveness and cost effectiveness
  • Manages the annual benefit renewal process
  • Manages benefit carriers and re-enrollments in the HRIS system; ensures all required communications are distributed timely
  • Ensures the 401(k) plan is managed in accordance with the plan document and in partnership with the 401(k) advisors and the committee; participates in the annual 401(k) audit
  • Leads recruitment functions to attract talent while considering cost effectiveness in all recruitment processes; leverages regional leadership resources to align recruitment strategies taking the market conditions into account
  • Assists in the development and refinement of the EDI policy and manages adherence in order to build a diverse workforce through recruitment and development
  • Works with the Vice President of Human Resources to manage and modify the regional compensation structure taking into consideration the organizational structure, market conditions, and salary surveys
  • Assists in the creation of job descriptions and organizational design
  • Continually builds trust in the value of HR as a partner to the leadership group and as a trusted advisor to employees
  • Assists in the implementation of new Human Resource initiatives to improve and enhance the organization’s delivery of services across the organization, in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Assists in the implementation of new and continuous improvement approaches to support HR reporting and benchmarking, and equitable performance and compensation management
  • Oversees Federal, State and Local compliance reporting; reviews and evaluates results to determine if corrective action is necessary
  • WHAT'S REQUIRED
  • At least 15 years of experience, with at least 1+ years of experience working with an employee headcount of 100+ staff in an HR position
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates coming with HR experience within an architecture, engineering or construction background
  • Education: Related post-secondary education, MBA or Masters degree preferred
  • Technical: Microsoft Office, Internet, HRIS, ATS, Performance Management Systems, LMS
  • Supervisory/Leadership:  must have some experience managing at least 1 direct report
  • Knowledge: Experience in all Human Resources functions; knowledge and familiarity with relevant federal and state employment laws and legislation
  • Certificates, Licensing, Registrations: Membership with a relevant professional association is an asset (SHRM)
