Job Title: Plastic Injection Mold Maker

Company Overview:

Our small plastic injection molding company is dedicated to providing high-quality plastic products to a range of industries. We are seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Mold Maker for Small Precision Parts to join our team and help us maintain and improve our production processes.

Job Summary:

The Plastic Injection Mold Maker will be responsible for building and maintaining molds, as well as setting up and maintaining production machines. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain molds to meet production needs, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, and assembly of molds
  • Set up and maintain production machines, including troubleshooting and making adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate any issues or concerns to management
  • Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all team members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Perform other related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in plastic injection molding an asset
  • 10 years of experience in plastic injection molding, with a strong understanding of mold building and maintenance; at least 5 years of Canadian experience
  • Experience setting up and maintaining production machines, with knowledge of various injection molding machines and tooling
  • Familiarity with quality control protocols and techniques, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with OHSA regulations and safety protocols
Salary: $55k to $65k, depending on qualifications and experience

Location: Mississauga
