This a great opportunity for a Senior Engineering Leader within the Buildings Industry (Electrical, Mechanical or Structural) for a Director/Principal role with this well established Canadian company.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a leading consulting Engineering firm known for its excellence in project delivery. This firm focuses specifically on institutional, residential, commercial, industrial and civic projects and they are looking for a capable individual to oversee operations, business plans, project feasibility, financial success, strategy and staff utilization, amongst other items.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the VP, you will be responsible working with studio managers to oversee the profitability of various processes and strategy. The role will have a broad focus encompassing strategic planning, operations and leadership. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the various Engineering departments to continue their growth and excellent service delivery for engineering services in a consulting environment and on building projects.

- Professional Engineer with registration in a Canadian province
- 15+ years of experience in Engineering, either Electrical, Structural or Mechanical (primarily Oil & Gas or Industrial experience will not be considered) as the relevant industry knowledge within the buildings sector is required for this role.
- MBA an asset, as is knowledge of business processes
- Some management and leadership experience is required
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent client and project management skills
- Some previous experience working with operations, strategy development, team management, financials, planning and organisational processes is required.
