ICI Project Manager – Tenant Improvements and Renovations
We are looking for a Project Manager to work with our Commercial/Industrial Interiors team in Burnaby, BC. You will oversee tenant improvement and Renovation projects for Institutional, Commercial and Industrial Buildings between 2M to $10M.
You will manage, organize, and keep an eye on the workforce and resources needed to finish projects on schedule and within budget. The right candidate would possess outstanding management and communication abilities. This individual must be proficient in all areas of construction and have the relevant knowledge and skills.
About the Role:
Estimate construction costs and quantity take-offs
Collaborate with the estimator to decide on the project's overall budget.
Prepare, monitor, and record all information requests (RFI)
Establish and manage the Project Construction, comprising the procurement log, the submittal schedule, the change order log, and the submittal log.
Expedite the examination of shop designs and submittals and offer "Quality Control" Get transmittals ready and send them to the design consultants.
Regular field inspections of the job site are necessary to check for adherence to the construction contract's criteria.
Construction cost reporting and financial forecasting
reviewing and approving monthly bills for payment
Create purchase orders for materials and subcontracts.
Organize the acquisition of certificates for occupancy and substantial completion.
Responsible for administrating and processing post-construction issues to guarantee compliance with the contract's maintenance and warranty requirements.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and permits to identify the scope and timeframe needed for a successful conclusion.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager in tenant improvements in both commercial and industrial settings
Experience in managing multiple projects ranging in size and complexity from concept to completion including industrial projects and new construction
Strong commitment to document control
Excellent track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
Schedule, attend and produce minutes for Client meetings
Create weekly progress reports and supply to client
Review, issue, and update look-ahead schedules
Promote and maintain a good working relationship with company personnel, clients, consultants, and suppliers
Knowledgeable with Construction Accounting, estimating and take-off software (e.g. Procore and Bluebeam)
Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem solving, and searching for ways to add value and exceed client expectations
Excellent verbal, written, and presentational communication abilities, particularly the capacity to effectively communicate technical knowledge to non-technical people.
Outstanding leadership qualities and great team-building skills
Tenant improvements experience is required
Excellent attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and transportation
