The role
Accountable for managing the inventory for the organization, the supply chain coordinator is analyzing supply and demand and managing vendors to ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply for their customers. Working with vendors in North America and Asia (Mandarin language skills would be highly valued) this person manages the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of inventory and ensures that deliveries are tightly monitored and the organization kept aware of progress. Communication with the rest of the organization is essential and it is important the successful candidate has strong communication skills as well as knowledge of managing a supply chain.
Maintaining the ERP system, analyzing data and managing the PO process is all part of this person's role and so a strong attention to detail and good numerical skills are core skills required.
Whilst negotiation with vendors is not part of this person's role, they will work closely with vendors here and overseas and so an ability to manage vendor relationships is useful.
Managing freight carriers is an essential part of this role. Experience having managed logistics previously is a must. The person will need to understand the freight process and bring skills to the role that allow them to hit the ground running managing logistics.

The candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a supply chain or purchasing role. They will have proven experience managing inventory, coordinating and managing freight / logistics, and have strong analytical skills. Chinese or another Asian language would be preferred.

The role will pay a generous base + benefits + discretionary bonus.
