Job Description 
Seeking an ambitious and results-driven Public Sector Re-Roof Sales Executive to lead the development, growth, and strategic bidding of our public sector re-roofing business. This role will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities within public sector bidding platforms, navigating government procurement processes, and positioning the company for maximum growth. Your expertise in leveraging public sector bid platforms and steering the company toward the most profitable projects will be pivotal in driving our success in this new vertical. 

Responsibilities 
Public Sector Business Development and Market Penetration:
  1. Lead the development of a robust public sector re-roofing business, identifying and targeting government buildings, schools, universities, municipalities, and other public sector facilities.
  2. Proactively leverage public sector bidding platforms to identify and track high-potential re-roofing opportunities.
  3. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of public sector re-roofing projects, prioritizing those with the highest growth potential and profitability.

Strategic Bidding and Opportunity Evaluation:
  1. Strategically evaluate and prioritize public sector bidding opportunities to identify the most profitable and growth-oriented projects.
  2. Navigate public sector procurement platforms and bidding systems, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for re-roofing projects that align with the company’s growth objectives.
  3. Stay informed about bidding schedules, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure our bids meet all necessary specifications, industry standards, and deadlines.

Client Consultation and Needs-Based Solutions:
  1. Work closely with public sector clients to understand their re-roofing needs, budget constraints, and project timelines.
  2. Provide expert consultations, offering tailored re-roofing solutions that maximize value for public entities while adhering to regulatory and procurement standards.
  3. Conduct site visits and detailed assessments, developing customized re-roofing solutions that meet client specifications and exceed their expectations.

Target Sales Presentations and Proposals:
  1. Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations for public sector clients, emphasizing our expertise in handling complex, large-scale government and municipal re-roofing projects.
  2. Tailor each proposal to meet the specific needs and criteria outlined in public sector bid documents, ensuring we are positioned as the best solution provider.
  3. Effectively address client concerns and objections, reinforcing our company’s capabilities and track record in the public sector.

Strategic Relationship Building and Client Retention:
  1. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in public sector organizations, including government officials, procurement officers, and contractors.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for public sector clients, ensuring consistent and proactive communication throughout the bidding process and project lifecycle.
  3. Establish long-term partnerships with public sector clients, driving repeat business and a strong presence across public sector re-roofing projects.

Sales Strategy Development and Aggressive Target Setting:
  1. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop aggressive strategies for entering and growing the public sector re-roofing market.
  2. Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, focusing on maximizing profitability through strategic bidding and public sector market penetration.
  3. Continuously analyze market trends, bidding patterns, and competitor strategies to refine sales tactics and ensure the company remains competitive in the public sector.

Networking and Industry Presence:
  1. Represent the company at key public sector events, industry trade shows, and networking forums to promote our re-roofing capabilities and build relationships with key public sector decision-makers.
  2. Participate in relevant industry associations and conferences to expand our professional network and uncover new bidding opportunities.

Sales Reporting and Performance Tracking:
  1. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, bid submissions, client interactions, and project progress within the CRM system.
  2. Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, offering insights into sales growth, bid success rates, and emerging opportunities within the public sector.

Additional Responsibilities: 
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of proven success in sales, with a strong focus on public sector contracts and government procurement processes.
  • Deep understanding of public sector bidding platforms and procurement processes, including familiarity with tools such as BidSync, Dodge, and other eProcurement systems.
  • A strong track record of successfully navigating public sector bid opportunities and securing high-value projects.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering winning proposals for government, municipal, and educational entities.
  • In-depth knowledge of re-roofing systems, materials, and industry standards, particularly as they apply to public sector requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers in complex public sector environments.
  • Self-driven with a relentless focus on growth, achieving aggressive sales targets, and maximizing profitability in the public sector market.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams, collaborating with senior leadership, project managers, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of public sector contracts.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, public sector bidding platforms, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally as needed to attend public sector events and meet with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
