We’re looking for a Technical Service Representative with a strong background in technical services, quoting, and supplier coordination to join a forward-thinking team in the precision machining industry. What You’ll Do:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials and secondary processes based on customer specifications.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules to support cost-effective and timely project execution.
- Support the preparation of competitive and accurate quotes by analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure estimates reflect real-world conditions and constraints.
- Help improve and streamline the quoting process to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure a smooth transition from quoting to production by clearly communicating job details to planning/engineering.
- Participate in job kickoff meetings to address technical considerations and ensure alignment across teams.
- Partner closely with sales and business development to translate client needs into actionable, cost-effective solutions.
- Work with quality assurance to maintain high standards and address any specification concerns.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and technologies to contribute to innovation and strategic growth.
- Experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Background in technical services, quoting, or supplier sourcing within the precision machining industry is a plus.
- Solid understanding of materials used in machining and their characteristics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with software tools used in quoting and project management.
