My client, a well-established and growing consumer goods company in the beauty and personal care industry is seeking an Account Manager to support a Director of Sales in managing key North American retail accounts. This role is responsible for executing strategic sales plans across a mix of retail and distributor partners to drive revenue and profit growth for both existing and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Sales Execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, buyers, and distributor partners.
  • Support the joint business planning process by developing and executing strategies for profitable growth.
  • Assist in preparing retail presentations and sales reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including order management, demand planning, finance, and marketing to achieve brand goals and maximize opportunities.
  • Ensure demand plans are updated monthly and effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
Administrative & Retail Account Support
  • Serve as the expert for each retailer portal, managing SKU creation and maintenance.
  • Monitor and share key reports, including POS data and retail performance insights.
  • Track and support the analysis of trade spend, markdown planning, and deduction processes.
  • Assist in executing promotional plans and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Merchandising, or Category Management within the CPG industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • High sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership of processes.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze sales and market data.
  • Confident public speaking and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with A.C. Nielsen, IRI, or equivalent market data tools to analyze trends and performance.
