TalentSphere has partnered with a well established and award winning Architecture Firm with an office in Calgary to assist them in finding a high level Design Lead or outstanding Design Architect to join their team. This firm have an excellent reputation for high-end and unique design and have an excellent portfolio of work encompassing both large scale developments as well as small, boutique projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed use and first nations work. This firm are continuing to grow and this is a great opportunity to join their collaborative team as they continue to produce award winning projects and provide excellent service delivery to their clients. This firm's design philosophy is rooted in the belief that quality architecture isn't just about a superior design concept, but comes right down to the design of the details in the drawings.
THE JOB
This role would suit a well rounded design architect or architectural designer who is comfortable and capable to work on all phases of design schematics right through to design completion. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for superior design work and will come from a background demonstrating this. The role will have you giving input through all phases of design, working closely with clients to bring ideas into reality. You will be involved in a variety of projects across different sectors, both small and large including multi-family, mixed-use, hospitality, first nations, recreational, commercial, amongst others. In this role you will utilize your strong creativity, imagination and communication skills to make generate design concepts and to make design presentations to clients and stakeholders. You will also be providing some mentorship to junior staff and providing design guidance to the firm.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
The strong candidate will be at ideally a senior level and possess robust designs skills, be exceptionally creative and be well versed in working with a range of project types. You will possess at least 8+ years of experience working with design and be capable of working independently with clients and consultants and responsible for all phases of design.
